Fund Raising for the Royal British Legion

During October and early November I have been selling handmade poppies to raise money for the Royal British Legion. This is a charity that is close to my heart. My Grandad fought in World War 2 and I have friends who are serving in the Army today and I know of the amazing work the charity does.

I wanted to do something that would compliment the fund raising they themselves do but would not compete with it! The idea was to bring in extra money to the charity.

I designed a range of Necklaces, earrings and brooches which I then sold on my stall at craft fairs and markets. I was really pleased with the response, everyone was very supportive that 100% of the profits would be going directly to the charity.

I am delighted by how well they sold, and although I didn't sell out I was still able to raise £60 for the charity!
