Silver Spring’s New Home

We moved to the beautiful village of Welton in Lincolnshire in early September. It was a big undertaking as we moved our  family, our home, my studio, and my parents to the village and waved our eldest off into the world to start their career!

Many many packing boxes later and we are starting to surface amidst the chaos, and I’m finding ways to set up the studio. Although it’s only slightly smaller than my Rawtenstall studio the different layout has given me an opportunity to have a rethink about how I teach. It’s a work in progress  it it’s starting to take shape.

My new work area has lots of new wall racking and a slightly changed layout. I’m left handed so I need things to hand on my dominant side!
At the moment I have 2 benches set up for students. I love teaching to small classes as I feel that everyone gets more attention that way. There is room in the new studio to add extra work benches but for now I’m going to stick to the lovely small class sizes I enjoy.
There is even room for a lovely display of my handmade jewellery to inspire or purchase. There will be a comfy seating area for the most important tea and biscuit breaks lol!

Daisy and I are looking forward to welcoming a new range of students to the studio in the near future! Sign up to the newsletter to receive early notice of the new class details.
